Hi. I’m Jim Jordan. I’m also known in the arts world as Jimmer Shine. I’m also known in the Chinese speaking world as 芝麻. I’ve traveled around the world a few times and as an active tabulator of the experience, I’ve put together a few tomes that serve as unusually eclectic post-cards in the process. In order to share them more widely, I’ve created this press. It is a kind project that serves to provide a platform for production and the formal inner-workings of a publishing house. I’ve worked with publishers in the past and found the experience to be a good one. I hope that I can provide as much ease of production that has been shown to me in the past.

Here at Oblectation Press, I care about both the simplification of the process of getting your book to people’s hands or devices, depending on your designs and the quality of the thing itself when it’s done. This is a largely artist-focused company that counts on the creator to be sure of the book being brought to the fore. I aim to be a comfortable conduit making market-outreach possible after you’ve created your work. I will provide technical parameters for your files and can certainly help getting them there, and will then aim to put your work into the markets that serve millions of customers so that you can sell your book in whatever area you wish.
